The Mercer Island Historical Society has the records, photos and letters to tell you.</p> <p>The society is also responsible for over a dozen commemorative plaques on the island at sites of historical significance, such as where four 90mm anti-aircraft guns were stationed on Mercer Island during World War II.</p> <p>The society meets monthly during the spring and fall (March - May, Sept - Nov) at the Mercer Island Community and Events Center.</p>
