The Mercer Island Historical Society has the records, photos and letters to tell you.</p> <p>The society is also responsible for over a dozen commemorative plaques on the island at sites of historical significance, such as where four 90mm anti-aircraft guns were stationed on Mercer Island during World War II.</p> <p>The society meets monthly during the spring and fall (March - May, Sept - Nov) at the Mercer Island Community and Events Center.</p>

There are 447 parking spaces available and free parking is allowed for up to 24 hours. The Arts Council supports many high-visibility events and displays, including the I-90 Sculpture Garden, the Community Center Art Gallery and Mostly Music in the Park programming.</p> <p>The MIAC meets the second Wednesday of every month at 6:30pm at the Community Center at Mercer View.</p>
