Experimental Theatre Institute (YETI) presents “Shadow of a Dream,” an adaptation of Shakespeare’s “Hamlet” at 7:30 p.m. on Friday Aug. 10 and Saturday Aug. 11 in the Studio Stage performance space at Youth Theatre Northwest. The shows are open to the public. No reservations are necessary. Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for students. The play is recommended for ages 10 and up.
“Shadow of a Dream,” is an exploration of the teenage experience, the challenges of parenting and step-parenting, and the drama of everyday life. The play offers new perspectives on Shakespeare’s “Hamlet”, and fresh insights into the emotional lives of the characters. The cast consists of teen actors ages 17 to 19 who collaborated with director/playwright Akiva Krauthamer, in the development of the script. Cast members include Coleman Taylor-Manning, Shannon Smith Bengston, Elliott Wittenberg, and Abby Sarah. More information about YETI is available on the group’s facebook page:
