You want to take your grandpa's style?
You can do so with Wanz, the featured singer on Macklemore's hit song "Thrift Shop," at the Mercer Island Thrift Shop at a fundraiser for Luther Burbank Park's playground project.
The hosted evening with Wanz, real name Michael Wansley, includes 20 percent in your pocket off any purchase. The event will be 6 to 8 p.m. June 9 at the Mercer Island Thrift Shop.
Tickets to the event are $50. The tickets benefit the Luther Burbank playground project. Thrift shop purchases will benefit the Mercer Island Youth & Family Services.
The Mercer Island Preschool Association, which is raising money to augment the playground project, provided the following information about the event:
