Mercer Island High's Baccalaureate a Celebration of Faith

The interdenominational baccalaureate service was held Wednesday night at the Mercer Island Presbyterian Church.

MIHS Seniors Briauna Azer and Ben Poor led students and faculty on Wednesday, June 8 in a celebration of all faiths as part of the graduation festivites for the class of 2011.

Several graduating students spoke at the event, held at the Mercer Island Presbyterian Church, about the meaning of their faiths and their faith experiences including Sheen Kaul (Hindu), Zach Morse (Jewish), Kalika Shah (Hindu), Jenna Sukernek (Jewish), Amelia Merritt (Christian), Michaela Lee (Buddhist), Clara Flaherty (Christian) and Erica Baska (Christian).
